Ezine Number 50, October 4, 2003
From the Ezine
Editor
Just a couple of small announcements for this issue.
Small in so far as their size may be, but very exciting
for those involved and for Alabama. Since I'm scheduled to be off line in the
next several days I thought I would go ahead and post
them.

Notes
On UPN68 "Velvet Stereo
T.V."
Beginning on October 5, "Velvet Stereo
T.V." will begin airing on UPN 68 each week on Sunday nights at 11:30
pm. This is a locally produced magazine-style show focused on music and
entertainment. The show includes interviews, performances and music videos. For
more information visit our site www.velvetstereo.com . This is a
grassroots effort to give Birmingham a show that highlights the musical talent
Birmingham is developing and the great Indy label music that you never get to
hear on the radio. Flip the channel to UPN68 (airing from Tuscaloosa to
Anniston) on Sunday nights and enjoy a revolution in Alabama network
television.

News about "Big
Fish"
Test screenings have taken place of "Big
Fish" and even though the audience saw a workprint (which may have
missing sound and music) the overall impression of those attending was very,
very favorable. There is talk that "Big Fish" may be an
Oscar nomination for Tim
Burton.
