A production mistake that might have
meant a disappointment for some actors ended up being an advantage
for a group of extras involved in a theatrical film in Selma,
Alabama. The production of "When I Find The Ocean" had a
call for extras originally needed on Saturday May 14th that had been
changed to Sunday May 15th. Out of the several hundred actors
contacted about the date change, a group of approximately fifteen
showed up as scheduled on Saturday unaware of the change for their
scene. After a brief discussion about the mix up, the production
managers apologized and went ahead to place the actors in walk on
and featured extras roles in the scenes scheduled for that Saturday.
"I'm grateful and want to
express my thanks for working us in after the mix-up of us not
getting a call not to come that day, but to come on Sunday
instead." said Jim Brucke, one of the actors who had driven
over 100 miles to arrive by the 7 AM call time.
"When I Find The Ocean" is
produced by Cypress Moon Productions, directed by Tonya Holly and
has Lee Majors and Diane Ladd among the cast. |
